The Block Devils’ preseason preparations are in full swing, and on Saturday afternoon, with warm-ups starting at 4:30 PM, they’ll have the opportunity to test the work done so far on the field in their first joint training session of the season with Emma Villas Siena.
This morning was entirely dedicated to prevention in the gym, while the afternoon focused on the field, with technical and tactical training led by coaches Angelo Lorenzetti and Massimiliano Giaccardi. The afternoon work on the taraflex is essential for regaining the rhythm and mechanics of the game and is particularly useful for this year’s newcomers, helping them gain confidence on the Perugia court and test their connection with their teammates. Among the new faces is the very young Croatian opposite hitter Gabrijel Cvanciger, born in 2003, who will be playing in Perugia for his second season in the Italian championship, following last year’s experience in Grottazzolina: “I’m really happy to be here. The first few days were a little strange for me because I had to settle in, but now everything is fine. I’m happy to be here with these guys, with this staff, and also in this facility!
