Davide Gardini is among the 25 Italian players selected by coach Ferdinando De Giorgi for the 2025 Men’s World Championships, scheduled for September 12-28 in Manila, Philippines. The Italian Volleyball Federation made the official announcement today, communicating the list of 25 players to the FIVB.

Italy, the reigning World Champions, will make their competition debut on Sunday, September 14, against Algeria (3:30 PM CET), before facing Belgium (September 16) and Ukraine (September 18), also at 3:30 PM CET.

Setters: Simone Giannelli, Riccardo Sbertoli, Mattia Boninfante, Paolo Porro.

Opposites: Kamil Rychlicki, Yuri Romano, Alessandro Bovolenta, Tommaso Guzzo.

Spikers: Daniele Lavia, Alessandro Michieletto, Mattia Bottolo, Francesco Recine, Luca Porro, Francesco Sani, Davide Gardini.
