MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo won the first SuperLega test match of the season 3-1. This afternoon at the Pala BUS Company in Villafranca Piemonte, the white-and-blues faced Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano (Serie A3) in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd. During the match, all of Coach Battocchio’s players rotated throughout the four sets; Zaytsev was given a precautionary rest.

Cuneo’s starting six: Baranowicz setter, Feral opposite hitter, Codarin and Copelli centers, Sedlacek and Cattaneo spikers; Cavaccini (L).
Coach Serafini lined up: Pistolesi setter, Rossato opposite hitter, Ballan and Rainero centers, Galaverna and Schiro spikers; Prosperi Turri (L).

At the end of the test, these were Coach Matteo Battocchio’s thoughts: “We still have to improve on our serve and reception; especially in terms of serving, managing moments, sets, and matches. We saw a lot of good things that maybe didn’t give us a point, so it didn’t seem like it, but the rebuilding of the game with a bad ball, how to try not to waste the ball, how to try to manage our blocking and defense work, and in my opinion this honestly worked well. Of course, the indication of the error in the service is important, that’s true.”
