Domotek Volley kicks off the season away in Galatone. Coach Antonio Polimeni: “We’re starting with humility, but we couldn’t wait.”
Domotek Volley will raise the curtain on the new Serie A3 season on Sunday at 6:00 PM, facing newly promoted team Galatone.
An away debut, far from the warmth of their home crowd, but full of expectations and a desire to get back on track.
On the eve of kickoff, the coach’s voice is that of awe, painting a picture of great enthusiasm and concentration in the Amaranth locker room. “We couldn’t wait,” Polimeni begins. “The championship started later than usual, and there’s a real desire to get on the field, even in Puglia, which we know is a vibrant region and is therefore similar to us.”
But enthusiasm must not lead to underestimation. The approach to the first matchday is one of utmost humility and respect for the opponent. “We all know how tricky this match is,” the coach warns. “Galatone is a newly promoted team that wants to do well, with plenty of young players to showcase and the right mix of experience.
