Emma Villas Siena visited the Caselli school this morning. The setter Pietro Melato and the spikers Matteo Alpini and Federico Pellegrini met the students of some classes of the school. The meeting was also attended by the school principal of the Caselli institute, Luca Guerranti, and the assistant coach of Emma Villas Siena, Marco Monaci.
The young people asked the white-blue volleyball players many questions, asking about their careers, how they worked over the years to be part of a Serie A team and how they managed to combine sports activity with study.
“Sport is good, it’s fun, it creates friendships, it helps kids grow with values and it’s a healthy world – said the principal Guerranti – I always tell the kids to try to cultivate and pursue their dreams and to give it their all to try to reach them”.
“The young volleyball players who are here today are an example of how you can combine sports with study,” said the assistant coach of the Siena team, Marco Monaci.
“It’s not easy to combine the two,” said spiker Matteo Alpini, a graduate in Physiotherapy. “To achieve the goals you set yourself, you need to be passionate; I believe that the difference is made by the will with which you do something. I’m satisfied with how things are going for me, and being part of a team that plays in Serie A is a great source of pride for me.”
