An event of great sporting and emotional significance awaits the city of Aversa. On Sunday, October 5th, starting at 3:30 PM, the PalaJacazzi will host the Fourth Rolando Di Meo Memorial, a three-way volleyball tournament dedicated to the memory of the historic president of Virtus Aversa, a figure whose passion and dedication shaped the history of volleyball in Normandy.
Virtus Aversa, Romeo Sorrento, and Gaia Energy Napoli will compete on the hardwood in an afternoon that will be much more than a sporting event: it will be an act of love and gratitude towards those who have always lived volleyball as a life mission.
Underscoring the importance of the Memorial are the words of Virtus Aversa President Sergio Di Meo, Rolando’s son: “Every year this event renews a profound emotion. Remembering my father means not only reliving his tireless commitment to Norman volleyball, but also reaffirming the values of passion, sacrifice, and love for volleyball that he instilled in us. The Memorial is our way of saying thank you, of never forgetting, and of raising new generations under the same light he ignited. I invite everyone to participate, because together we can transform the pain of loss into the joy of remembrance and the strength of sport.”
