Born in 2006, 197 centimeters tall, and with a future that many in youth volleyball circles are already predicting: Alessandro Chinello is the second new opposite hitter for Rinascita Volley Lagonegro. He joins fellow new signing Gaetano Penna to complete a team that promises to be one of the most exciting in the upcoming Credem Banca A2 series.

Of Paduan origins, Chinello developed his skills in the youth teams of Casalserugo Pallavolo B and Powervolley Milano B, two training grounds that allowed him to gain experience before making the big leap. And it’s a leap that comes quickly: in 2023, he signs for Brugherio and makes his Serie A3 debut. His debut couldn’t have gone better, especially since he won the Under-17 championship in his first year with the Brianza-based club, followed by two silver medals in the Under-19 and Under-20 Junior Leagues. After completing his two-year stint in Brugherio, last season he represented JV Gioia del Colle, also in Serie A3.

His pedigree also includes his time with the Italian national team, with several youth national team appearances, and a Regions Trophy won with his Veneto team: it was 2022 when Chinello lifted that trophy as the tournament’s top spiker.
