Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that Alberto Marra will complete the middle blocking team for the upcoming Serie A3 Credem Banca season.
A native of Gallipoli, Alberto was born in 1998 and has ten seasons of professional experience under his belt. After completing his career in the distinguished youth sector of Modena Volley, where he was also an associate member of the first team in the 2017/18 Superlega season, he then embarked on a long journey through Serie A2, with Lagonegro, Santa Croce, Mondovì, and Aversa, and Serie A3, with Palmi, Aversa, Castellana Grotte, and Gioia del Colle. Often a decisive player, at 205 centimeters tall, he has scored 1,169 points in 218 matches so far.
For him, this marks a return to the Granda province, after his stint in Mondovì in 2020/21: “I wasn’t expecting this call, and I’m very happy with the trust placed in me from the first moment we made contact. It will be great to return to the province of Cuneo, where I had a great time, and I can’t wait! I think there’s a subtle difference in level between the two groups, with the South being a bit more competitive, but that doesn’t mean anything to the North, where we’re seeing some great battles. Will I be among the most experienced? I already held this position two years ago in Castellana Grotte, and it went very well, so now, with a little more experience, things will go even better!”
