Timoteo Diani joins Campi Reali Cantù as Andrea Argenta’s assistant. Born in 2007, and fresh out of high school, he comes from experience with Diavoli Rosa Powervolley, one of the leading youth volleyball clubs in the entire sport. But before arriving in Brugherio, the Milanese opposite hitter took his first steps in France, first in Avignon and then in Salon de Provence.
Coach Tommaso Invernici commented on the new addition: “Fresh out of high school and just out of his final year of youth volleyball, Timoteo gave me the impression that he wants to test himself in senior volleyball with the right spirit. With commitment and hard work, he will have to try to steal the secrets of the trade from Argenta.”
The player had these words: “I’m delighted to be joining this project. I’ve been familiar with Cantù since they’ve been playing in Serie A for years, and it’s a huge achievement for me to be able to play here. This opportunity is a big step and a boost for my sporting career. I’ve worked hard over the years to improve and be selected for a top-level team. It’s a great opportunity to grow because I’ll have experienced teammates on the team who will be able to advise me and help me hone my skills. I think it will be a great motivation to continue to advance in this world. On a personal level, I’d like to improve in every aspect, especially the mental aspect, which is as crucial to me as the technical aspect. I can’t wait to begin my first experience in Serie A and meet my new teammates.”
