Let’s begin! After nearly five months of frenetic preparations, pursuing unaccustomed standards and struggling to adapt to the demands of the new category, SAV Trebaseleghe—known to all as “Silvolley”—finally debuts in the championship it deservedly won last spring: Serie A3.
The road is uphill, and everyone in Trebaseleghe knows it: the fourteen players know it, the two coaches know it, the entire staff knows it. Head coach Matteo Daldello says: “Finally, the real matches are starting! We’ve worked hard during these weeks of preparation, and despite a few aches and pains, the boys have raised the bar day after day. The excitement of our Serie A3 debut will have to fade after the first few minutes of warming up, because against San Donà it will be a real battle! Playing on their home turf will be very difficult, and we’ll have to be good at limiting their physicality, playing our volleyball with patience.”
Balanced and straightforward words that betray extreme concentration. If this season’s goal is to stay up and survive this exciting new adventure that is Serie A, Silvolley can’t afford to relax too much because the White Group of Serie A3 is filled with aggressive, experienced teams eager to advance to Serie A2!
