Italy defeated Bulgaria 3-1 with scores of 25-21, 25-17, 17-25, and 25-10 to become World Champions for the fifth time in its history. It was yet another impressive and incredible performance from Ferdinando De Giorgi’s team, which confirmed the title it had already won in 2022. Among the key players in the final was Modena Volley’s middle blocker Simone Anzani, who scored an impressive nine points (seven in attack and two blocking), including the final of the match that sealed Italy’s deserved and extraordinary victory.
