The Italian national team’s 2025 Volleyball Nations League Week 3 concludes with four wins in as many matches, securing a spot in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to the Finals, to be held from July 30th to August 3rd in Ningbo, China.

Second place in the overall competition standings (ten wins overall) will allow Italy to face Cuba, who finished seventh, in the quarterfinals. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30th, at 9:00 a.m. The remaining matches will see Brazil (first) take on China (hosts and therefore at least eighth). France’s third-place finish will allow them to face Slovenia, while the final match will pit Japan and Poland against each other.

The Italian national team had a perfect week in Slovenia, where Week 3 of the VNL 2025 took place: a winning debut against Serbia (3-0) was followed by a tie-break victory against Ukraine. On Saturday evening, they secured a 3-0 victory against hosts Slovenia, while Week 3 concluded with a triumph (also in three sets) against the Netherlands, the team that finished bottom of the overall standings.
