Thanks to their results elsewhere, the Italian national team has qualified for the VNL Finals with two games to spare, thanks to 8 wins and 22 points. Qualification was mathematically secured late yesterday afternoon, Friday, July 18th.

After the Azzurri’s two wins in the first matches of Week 3, against Serbia (3-0) and Ukraine (3-2), the Italian national team currently sits in second place with 8 wins and 22 points. Confirmation of their place among the top eight teams came after the match between Cuba and France, which saw Andrea Giani’s French team win 3-2.

The Azzurri will take to the field this evening (Saturday, July 19th) against hosts Slovenia and tomorrow against the Netherlands, aiming to secure the best possible finish ahead of the finals.

The 2025 Volleyball Nations League Finals will be held in Ningbo, China, from July 30 to August 3.
