Some loves never end; they take immense turns and then return. Ahead of the 2026/27 season, Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce the return of Marco Spagnol to the first team competing in the Credem Banca Serie A3.

There’s no two without three, then, for the opposite hitter from Montebelluna, who will return to the white-and-blue jersey for the third time in his career. Born in 2000, “Spago” has already played at PalaSanGiorgio in 2022/23 and the second half of the 2024/25 season, scoring a total of 775 points in 44 games. Before and in between, he played with Bologna, Modica, Reggio Calabria, and, most recently, Stadium Mirandola, where he scored 441 points in 25 appearances last season. In total, he has 2,142 goals in the division, confirming the consistent performance he’d accustomed the Savigliano environment to in recent years.

Now, a new beginning, in a locker room very different from the one he left last time: “I perhaps feel more at home here than at home, given the time I’ve spent here in recent years (laughs, ed.). Jokes aside, the key factors in pushing me to return were the club’s environment—a trusting environment where you can work well—the coaching staff, who seemed enthusiastic yet also had concrete ideas and a firm foothold, and the desire to reunite with former teammates. Many may be different, but I like the group that’s formed: I love working out in the gym, and doing so with a young group allows you to have greater room for improvement. What kind of season do I expect? I see a very balanced championship, with many rosters that have changed significantly. Much will depend on the mix that develops, but I think our team can compete with any team.”
