Italy has advanced to the 2025 Volleyball Nations League quarterfinals, defeating Cuba 3-1 in the opening match of the Finals in Ningbo, China, thus qualifying for the semifinals scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 PM. On the other side of the net, France and Slovenia will face off tomorrow.

A strong performance allowed the Azzurri to take the first two sets by a wide margin (25-18, 25-18), before the Caribbean team came back to close the gap to 2-1 (20-25). In the fourth set, which ultimately proved decisive, the Azzurri were able to win 25-21, thus gaining their eleventh victory in this VNL 2025 and, above all, the pass to the Semifinal.
