José Miguel Gutierrez will be a spiker for Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza for the next two seasons. After showing off his talent in his first three seasons in Italy played in Cisterna, Taranto and Modena, the Caribbean hammer will wear the red and white.
The agreement between Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza and Gutierrez was reached in recent weeks with great satisfaction for both parties. Born in Santa Croce (Cuba), class of 2001, José Miguel Gutiérrez’s career began in the Cuban amateur tournaments, playing for the provincial team of Villa Clara. In the 2020-2021 season he received permission to play abroad, he was hired in France by Stade Poitevin in Ligua A with which he won the French Cup and the following season he was again a protagonist in the French championship wearing the Chaumont jersey with which he won the French Super Cup and another French Cup.
He moved to Italy in the 2022-2023 season, he made his debut in the Super League with the Latina jersey, in the following championship he defended the colors of Taranto and after completing his commitments in Puglia he went to play in the Qatar Volleyball League where with Al-Arabi he won the championship and the Qatar Cup. Last season he played in Modena collecting 22 appearances in the Regular Season with 70 sets played and 183 points on the scoresheet.
