Consar Ravenna’s preseason testing cycle concludes with a joint training session tomorrow afternoon, Friday, October 10th, at the Pala Costa (warm-ups begin at 6:00 PM). After testing their skills against three league opponents—Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena, Essence Hotels Fano, and Alva Inox 2 Emme Service Porto Viro—with two 2-2 draws and a 3-1 win, Valentini’s team now faces an A3 team, ErmGroup Altotevere San Giustino.
The Umbrian team is also in its final test before the start of the championship, scheduled for October 19th. The five joint training sessions saw Marco Bartolini’s team, in his fifth season as Altotevere coach, secure two 2-2 draws in the two home-and-away matches against Terni and two away losses, 3-1 in Macerata and 4-0 in Siena. The fifth test, at home against Club Arezzo, a Serie B team, was played over two sets with fixed rotations to practice the two classic situations that characterize the match.
“It’s an important test because it brings us closer to the start of the championship,” reflected middle blocker Filippo Bartolucci, “and we must be ready to showcase our game and what we’ve been working towards during this period of preparation.
