Three days before the match against Campi Reali Cantù, valid for the second day of the Serie A2 Credem Banca championship (at 4:00 PM), Rinascita Volley Lagonegro continues its preparations at the Palasport di Villa d’Agri with a high-intensity training program designed by coach Waldo Kantor and his staff, with a particular focus on tactical details. During this week spent between the weights room and the taraflex—in addition to the usual technical drills—the team is focusing particularly on counterattacking situations, one of the areas where the team struggled the most in Prata di Pordenone and, therefore, considered key in a match that promises to be a hard-fought and extremely balanced affair.
“After the match in Friuli, we all met on Tuesday and reviewed the performance, knowing we played good volleyball despite the result,” said middle blocker Gabriele Tognoni in the press briefing. “We lacked some fundamentals, but holding our own on a difficult court like Prata was a positive confidence boost. The lesson helped us understand that, by playing to the death until the last ball, we can really make a difference, starting next Sunday.”
