Pineto Volley’s 2026/27 season is gradually taking shape. Alessandro Ribecca, the new addition to the setter department, has arrived. Born in Garbagnate Milanese in 2002, the setter who will support Mattia Catone has been playing in Serie B for four seasons: the last two with Sicilian side Aquila Bronte Volley, and the previous two with Lamezia Terme. Previously, as a youngster, he also spent time in Serie A3 with Apulian side Casarano. Now, the club has called, with Sports Director Massimo Forese looking to secure a viable alternative to Catone.

Alessandro Ribecca’s first words in the blue and whites: “It’s a source of pride for me to join this club. When the opportunity to wear this jersey came up, I had no doubts: Pineto is an important club and a great opportunity for me to grow. I’m thrilled to meet my new teammates and the entire staff and to begin this journey together.” I’m coming to Pineto with a great desire to work, grow, and put my skills to work for the team, to repay the club’s faith in me. I’m also looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at the Pala Santa Maria and meeting the Pineto fans: last season they showed how important they can be, and I’m sure they’ll give us a huge hand again this year. See you on the pitch soon.
