The 36-year-old Lucanian coach, currently working with the men’s U22 national team, which will compete in the European Championships in Portugal starting June 29th, is leaving the Ravenna club. He will coach abroad.

After three successful seasons, the relationship between Porto Robur Costa 2030 and assistant coach Saverio Di Lascio has ended. The 36-year-old Lucanian coach, currently working with the men’s U22 national team, which will compete in the European Championships in Albufeira, Portugal from June 29th to July 4th, is leaving Ravenna as an important experience abroad awaits him. “It all happened so suddenly, and those are opportunities you have to seize immediately,” Di Lascio explains, “to mature, grow, and gain even more knowledge. And I thank the president and coach Valentini for giving me the green light, but I truly thank everyone at the club, the staff, and all the players I’ve had the pleasure of working with over these three years. Ravenna was an important milestone in my coaching journey: I had a great time, I saw so many young players grow and reach major stages, and in my own small way, I hope I contributed to their success. I certainly put in all my effort and energy. Ravenna is a club that deserves the best, and I sincerely hope it gets it.”
Consar coach and sporting director Antonio Valentini bid farewell to Di Lascio on behalf of the Ravenna club. “Saverio deserves this great opportunity. He’s a talented, well-prepared, and dedicated coach. He’s given so much to Ravenna in terms of hard work, preparation, and management. I wish him a wonderful summer with the national team and the best of luck in his new role: a leap forward in his career and recognition of the very high level of coaching he’s achieved.” In the coming days, the Ravenna club will announce the name of their new assistant coach, who will complete a coaching staff that remains in place in all other roles.
