Javier Martinez is ready to return to top-level volleyball and prove his worth as an athlete. The Terni Volley Academy opposite hitter, after his experience on Big Brother, is returning to his greatest passion, volleyball, to prove that an athlete is just as valuable as a television and media personality. “I certainly didn’t return with the intention of sitting on the bench,” Martinez said. “Physically, I feel great and I can’t wait to get on the court. I missed volleyball so much in the Big Brother house, and I can’t wait to begin this new experience. Terni Volley believed in me, especially General Manager Francesco Biribanti, whom I thank, as well as the rest of the staff.”
Javier Martinez: “An athlete is as important as a character.”
“I want to prove my worth, because I don’t want my character to outweigh my athlete. I’m super excited about this new opportunity, and I reiterate that it’s the worst conditions that make for extraordinary moments. I came to Terni because they have a young, promising team and, above all, a clear goal. We must focus first and foremost on staying up. In this regard, team chemistry is crucial, and I can’t wait to meet and play with my teammates.”
