The lights at the Banca Macerata Forum are back on for a now-traditional autumn event for Pallavolo Macerata. More than a preseason tournament, more than just a test for the red and white team ahead of their official debut: it’s an opportunity to remember two friends from Macerata who remain in the hearts of the entire club.
Saturday afternoon sees the curtain rise on the Furiassi-Valenti Memorial, which will see Macerata, Fano, and Pineto compete in a “preview” of the official matches, starting in two weeks.
In memory of the two red and white collaborators who contributed to the club’s growth with great enthusiasm and passion, it will be a great opportunity for Fall and his teammates to consolidate their progress, improve team chemistry, and gradually integrate the newly crowned silver medalist at the World Championships in the Philippines, Zhelev, who is arriving at the Sferisterio stadium in the coming days.
The format calls for best-of-three matches, with the exception that the third set will also be played.
