Matteo Meschiari, a spiker born in 2002, arrives at Campi Reali Cantù. He took his first steps in one of the most prestigious volleyball schools, Anderlini Modena, and in recent years he has been consistently between the second and third national category. And next season he will play in the shadow of the bell tower of San Paolo after having led Credem Banca, an eternal rival of the Cantù team like BCC Tecbus Castellana Grotte, to safety in Serie A3.
“Matteo is a positive guy – says Coach Alessio Zingoni –. I felt he was very eager to get back into the game after a year of ups and downs. He seemed extremely willing to embark on a journey in Serie A2 Credem Banca where he knows he will have to sweat to find space. He is a competent guy in what he does: we talked a lot about some fundamentals that he needs to work on, and that he also likes to work on, such as serving and serving. We needed centimeters in the role of spiker, and he brings a lot of them with him. I had a lot of positive feedback on him before taking him on together with the President (Ambrogio Molteni, ed.), and it was confirmed during our chat. So all we have to do is start working: I am sure that he will be happy with us, and that we will make the most of his qualities to reach the goal”.
