Training resumed today for Avimec Modica, who, after two days of rest granted by Coach Distefano following the trip to Campobasso, are now focused on their home opener next Sunday, when the white-and-blues will host Green Volley Galatone, led by former coach Willy Padura Diaz, at the PalaRizza.

There’s a hint of disappointment in the Modica community following the tie-break and comeback defeat, but there’s no drama, and everyone is looking forward to the next match.

“Galletti” coach Enzo Distefano briefly analyzed the Campobasso match:

“We’re returning from Campobasso licking our wounds,” explains coach Distefano. “It was a real shame, because the match had gone exactly as we wanted, with the players doing everything we’d studied in the week of preparation for the match. The first two sets were very close, but we were more clinical than them in the break phase, with Buzzi making his presence felt at the block, with Putini making all his decisions spot on, and above all with Lugli in great form, achieving a good 53% efficiency rate.
