New, important satisfaction for Cisterna Volley: after the call-up of libero Domenico Pace, setter Alessandro Fanizza will also wear the blue jersey of the National team. Starting from July 12, Fanizza will join the group of the senior national team led by technical commissioner Ferdinando De Giorgi.
In his first season ever in SuperLega Credem Banca, Fanizza has made a decisive contribution to the achievement of two historic goals for the club: qualification for the Del Monte® Coppa Italia and the Playoff Scudetto. Now, the young setter will have the opportunity to live a very high-level experience with the senior national team, together with his teammate Domenico Pace, also wearing the colors of Cisterna Volley in blue. The men’s national team will meet from May 12 to 18 in Cavalese (TN) for the first training camp of the season, after the official presentation last May 6 in Milan. The Azzurri, reigning world champions, will begin training for the Volleyball Nations League 2025, starting on June 11 in Quebec City (Canada). Before leaving, they will play three prestigious friendlies: on May 25 in Munich against Germany, on May 30 in Cavalese and on May 31 in Padua against Iran.
