The city of Modena and Valsa Group Modena are preparing for a special and important anniversary: the 100th anniversary of the birth of Giuseppe Panini, founder of the unforgettable Panini Modena and creator of the stickers that have and continue to captivate millions. In October 2024, Panini was also inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame.
There are two events to mark on your calendar.
On Sunday, November 9th, at 4:00 PM, Valsa Group Modena will unveil Wainer Vaccari’s sculpture dedicated to Giuseppe Panini inside the PalaPanini stadium, before kickoff of the match against Sonepar Padova. The owners of Modena Volley, Modena Mayor Massimo Mezzetti, sculptor Wainer Vaccari, and the Panini family will be in attendance.
On the evening of Monday, November 17th, the Panini family has organized the event “Il Paladino” – One Hundred Years of Giuseppe Panini. At 9:00 PM, guests and prominent figures will take the stage at the PalaPanini, including Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Walter Veltroni, Gianfranco Zola, and Julio Velasco. The event will be hosted by Leo Turrini and Federica Galli. This evening will commemorate the life of Giuseppe Panini and will contribute to a major fundraiser for the Neonatology Department of the Modena Polyclinic.
