Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce the signing of Paolo Bonola, who has been available to coach Simone Serafini for a few days now to join the team competing in the Credem Banca Serie A3 championship.
Born in 1992, Bonola is a highly experienced middle blocker from Lombardy, standing 200 centimeters tall. Released at the start of the 2025/26 season, he boasts a top-tier resume in the category, spanning over 10 seasons in Serie B, Serie A2, and Superlega, a career he experienced firsthand in 2014/15 with Monza, where he joined in 2012 from Cernusco.
Francesco Dutto, captain and sporting director of Savigliano, explained the move for the Sondrio-born player: “The decision to return to the market was dictated by my preseason injury, which will effectively keep me out for much of the season, requiring surgery and subsequent rehabilitation. Paolo was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up, because we know the boy well, who, in addition to being an outstanding player, is also a great professional. He will undoubtedly bring us great quality on the pitch and a wealth of experience, two key ingredients to overcome a start to the season that certainly didn’t meet our expectations.”
