Prisma Taranto confirms for the sixth consecutive year the collaboration with Dr. Francesco Settembrini, pharmacist nutritionist and owner of the renowned Farmacia Settembrini in via Livio Andronico 31, in Taranto.
An essential figure in the Taranto sports scene, Settembrini plays a key role in the care and nutritional preparation of athletes, acting as a point of reference for everything related to health, well-being and physical performance. Thanks to his highly specialized training – with a master’s degree in Physiology of Nutrition and Sport, and in Integration and Supplementation of the Athlete – he expertly supports numerous athletes and sports teams in the area, including Prisma Taranto.
«My experience as a pharmacist has naturally evolved towards sports medicine», says Settembrini. «Over the years I have studied nutrition as a tool to support both performance and recovery, also in the field of sports traumatology. Being a practicing athlete myself — I have run 25 marathons, participated in cycling granfondos, played and trained in basketball — allows me to combine theoretical knowledge and personal experience. This fusion of sports culture and professional competence is the engine of my daily activity.»
