The Romeo Sorrento boys are continuing their training sessions for their first season in Serie A2 with determination.
The first words of this new adventure were given by captain Stefano Patriarca and coach Nicola Esposito.
Stefano Patriarca: “I felt the excitement of those who couldn’t wait to get started again and to find themselves as one, from the entire team—players, staff, managers, and fans. So we started with enthusiasm and a great desire to work, and in fact the first week was really intense, as it should be. I can’t wait to see this group grow and take to the field with the same desire and determination.”
Coach Nicola Esposito: “I’m really happy with how we’ve returned to the gym, even though Preslav (Petkov), Vicente (Parraguirre), and Matteo (Iurisci) are still missing. I have to say the boys all showed up really motivated. We obviously focused a lot of our work on athleticism and regaining confidence with the ball. Next week, we’ll start with our first jumps and some drills that will gradually lead us to even include some 6-on-6 in the final sessions. There’s a lot of enthusiasm and a desire to compete in a category with such high levels. These first joint workouts will give us further insights into where and how we can improve.”
