Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena has begun its third week of training and preparations ahead of the start of the regular season. On Saturday, the Tuscan club will play its first test match: a highly respected international opponent, as coach Francesco Petrella’s team will face European champions Sir Safety Perugia. The match will kick off at 3:00 PM at the PalaBarton Energy in Perugia.

Today, the Tuscan team resumed training at the PalaParenti in Santa Croce sull’Arno: a double session, one morning and one afternoon, for the players coached by Petrella, who also have a double training session scheduled for tomorrow. Wednesday will be free, then the group will return to training on Thursday afternoon. A double training session is also scheduled for Friday.

“The initial impressions of this preparation phase are very positive,” commented Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena setter Simone Porro. “We’re working very well, both physically and technically. We’ve also started playing 6-on-6, and we have a lot to learn together. I see great willingness from my teammates, and that’s a very important factor within a group. I came here really fired up, after my commitments with the Italian Under-19 national team, with which I participated in the World Championships.
