Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia exults at PalaPrata: the Brescian team beats the hosts of Tinet Prata di Pordenone only in the tie-break, at the end of a hard-fought, exciting and spectacular match, which kept the over 1,000 spectators of a sold-out PalaPrata in suspense. It is the second Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2 for Brescia, which a year ago won the first by winning in Cuneo against Ravenna and which today was able to open its trophy cabinet again. Del Monte® MVP of the Final is Roberto Cominetti, who repeats after the title of best player won, again in Coppa Italia A2, in the 2021/22 season when he wore the Reggio Emilia jersey.
The Brescia spiker was awarded by Massimo Righi, President of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, who together with Luca Ciriani, Minister for Relations with Parliament, and Stefano Bianchini, Fipav Councilor, delivered the Cup to the Tucani captain Simone Tiberti, placing the medals for first place around the players and staff of the Brescia team. Also participating in the final award ceremony were Yvonne Schlesinger, Deputy Director of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, Bruno Da Re and Fabio Mechini, Councilors of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, with the team from Prata di Pordenone and the referees who received well-deserved applause and recognition.

The two sets we won are because we served better. The tie-break, which was shorter, shows that if you leave them space, it is difficult to catch up with them. They have been the team with the best block-defense all year. In any case, we played a great match, I can only be proud of the team, the staff and especially the fans”.
Roberto Cominetti (Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia): “I was very happy with my performance, but without my teammates none of this would have been possible. My dream is to play in the SuperLega: this year we came close, I will try again next year. Happy with my season, we had and were a long team, with three strong spikers: it was a great battle to compete with Cavuto and Raffaelli too. Happy with the path even though it didn’t end as we hoped. We hope to win another trophy next week”.
