Verona Volley is pleased to announce the addition of Uros Planinsic to the roster, joining Micah Christenson at the setter position and completing the Rana Verona team for the 2025/2026 SuperLega Credem Banca season.
Born in 1998, the Slovenian setter gained his first experience in his homeland with OK Hoce, before moving to Merkur Maribor, where he won the Slovenian Championship in the 2020/2021 season. That team also included Rok Mozic, who would join Verona the following year. After a two-year stint at Calcit Volley, where he won a gold medal in the national cup, in 2024 Planisic flew to the Netherlands to play for Nova Technology Lycurgus BV. He is currently a member of the senior Slovenian national team led by Coach Soli.
“I’m truly excited to begin this new adventure with Rana Verona,” Planinsic said. “Joining such an ambitious club, one that grows and aims high every year, is a tremendous opportunity for me. Working alongside a player of Micah Christenson’s caliber will be a huge boost: I’ll be able to learn so much from him while also contributing with commitment. I can’t wait to get to know the team, the staff, and experience the excitement of the arena.”
