The manager: “An unforgettable experience, the city has rediscovered its passion for volleyball”
“A sporting fairytale”: this is how Valeria Pellegrino, manager of Domotech Volley Reggio Calabria, defines the season that has just ended. In an interview full of emotions.
The manager retraced the most significant moments of a year that brought volleyball back to the center of attention in the city of the Strait.
“I lived a beautiful season, shared with all those who were part of this wonderful reality”, Valeria begins with her eyes shining with enthusiasm. “Carrying the colors of Domotek high was like wearing the colors of a city that needed to tell of beauty, success and enthusiasm. Sunday at PalaCalafiore had become an unmissable event”.
Looking back at the beginning of the season, Valeria admits: “I was confident in the pre-season, but I never imagined all this. Getting in touch with Antonio Polimeni and Marco Martino was a stroke of luck. I immediately understood that I was in the right place, surrounded by special people in a peaceful environment that allowed me to express my personality at my best”. She proudly speaks of the recognition given to her brother Cesare, (now the Club’s Sports Director) the San Giorgio d’Oro, Anassilaos: “I lived his entire career, from his first matches to his international successes. This award is deserved both for the man and for the professional he has always been”.
