After four years as “assistant”, the time has come for Alessio Zingoni to make the “big leap”. The choice of President Ambrogio Molteni for the post-Mattiroli period fell on the young (born in 1995) coach of San Miniato. Having arrived in the shadow of the bell tower of San Paolo in the 2021/2022 season as assistant to Coach Matteo Battocchio, he continued his adventure on the Cantù bench also for the two-year period under Coach Francesco Denora Caporusso, and for the last season alongside Coach Alessandro Mattiroli. For the Cantù team he also holds the role of Technical Director of the Youth Sector.
“I am very happy – says President Ambrogio Molteni – that Alessio Zingoni, after four years as Assistant Coach of the Serie A2 Credem Banca team, will be Head Coach of Campi Reali for next year. I think that Alessio, who already knows our reality perfectly, and who is also the Technical Manager of our Youth Sector, will certainly be up to his task, and will be able to best manage the Serie A2 group that we will entrust to him for the next season. His curriculum in our company has seen him in recent years re-establish the men’s youth sector with surprising results, being today the most important company both in terms of number and technical quality in the men’s sector of our province, with almost 100 boys who play volleyball.
