With the appointment of Mirko Monaldi as head coach and Davide Marra as his assistant and athletic trainer, it’s time for renewals, new arrivals, and departures at ErmGroup Altotevere, now making its fifth consecutive appearance in the Credem Banca Serie A3 championship. “The 2026/27 season has officially begun with the appointment of the technical staff,” stated Sporting Director Valdemaro Gustinelli, “and working in complete synergy with the club has allowed us to make what we believe to be the right choices. The job is practically 95% complete: there’s one piece missing that we hope to have in place by this week. Before discussing the team and its construction criteria, however, I wanted to personally thank Marco Bartolini for these three and a half intense years, with a steady stream of results that testifies to the quality of his work. At the same time, I particularly welcome the confirmation of our staff, with Mirko Monaldi and Davide Marra, who—both taking on new roles—are nothing less than a tangible example of the true strength of the technical project, of its continuity and stability over time.” Gustinelli elaborates on the team’s specifics: “After Biffi’s departure and Cappelletti’s decision to retire from competitive play, there will be other important departures, but as usual, new players will arrive who have enthusiastically embraced the project. In this context, I’d like to explain the common thread in building the team: we certainly have top-tier players for the A3 championship, and we’ve started from them, trying to bridge the gap with some key departures, such as the setter and the spiker.
