With the three-day volleyball transfer market event in Bologna now concluded and the key dates for the new season already set, Cucine Lube Civitanova looks ahead with renewed ambition. The official team gathering is just over a month away. The squad—minus the national team players currently competing internationally—will reconvene at the Eurosuole Forum on Monday, August 24, for the distribution of gear, routine medical check-ups, and initial activities spanning the weight room, outdoor track, and indoor court. The goal is to dedicate eight weeks to the preseason.
Only a small group of players will be present from the very first day of athletic training with the coaching staff. On hand at the start will be libero Francesco Bisotto and three teammates arriving from Pallavolo Padova: outside hitter Davide Gardini, middle blocker Alberto Polo, and setter Francesco Zoppellari. These players have trained continuously throughout the summer, following a tailored preliminary program designed by athletic trainer Massimo Merazzi. The participation of other roster members at the start of training remains uncertain. As in previous seasons, the group will likely also include some up-and-coming players from the Academy Volley Lube.
