Gabriele Baldas, a youth athlete from Plus Volleyball Sabaudia/Cosmos Latina, has been selected for the CQR Lazio team based on the recommendation of regional selectors Bruno Morganti, Giulio Morelli, and Pierfrancesco Sarno. Baldas, a middle blocker, along with other athletes from Pontine, began training in Pomezia in recent days in preparation for the 2026 Regions Trophy – AeQuilibrium Cup, to be held in Catania from June 22 to 27, 2026.
Italy’s premier youth competition, open to Under-16 male and Under-15 female athletes, will involve the selected regional teams. Baldas, who trained in the Plus Volleyball Sabaudia/Cosmos Latina youth team, was coached by Adriele Santucci with the support of Gabriele Baldas and Mattia Comignani. The partnership between Plus Volleyball Sabaudia and Cosmos Latina, led by President Roberto Sitta, is ongoing.
