Isabella Cocciolo and Alfredo de Martini, CEO and Sales Manager, respectively, of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, delivered a special lecture at Milan’s Bicocca University, as part of the Master’s in Sports and Sports Events Management (MASPES), offering students firsthand insights into the evolution of partnerships in the sports sector.
The lecture, part of the Master’s program, concluded with an invitation to students to submit projects entitled “From commercial scouting to sustainability: how partnerships in sport are changing,” which will then be evaluated by Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza.
The discussion focused on the paradigm shift that today characterizes collaborations between brands, clubs, and sports organizations: no longer just visibility and financial returns, but an integrated approach based on three key dimensions of sustainability: financial sustainability, understood as the creation of medium- to long-term value for all stakeholders involved; social sustainability, with a focus on the impact on local areas, communities, and individuals; Environmental sustainability, through responsible practices and partnership models geared towards reducing environmental impact.
Isabella Cocciolo (CEO of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza): “Being a sports club today means taking on a responsibility that goes beyond the playing field. Performance remains central, but it cannot be the only parameter by which we measure our value. We strongly believe in the role of sport as a driver of social impact, capable of generating culture, inclusion, and development for the local area. This is why we work every day to be not only competitive, but also virtuous: in our choices, behaviors, and the projects we carry out together with our partners and the community. It is in this balance between sporting results and social responsibility that a sustainable model is built over time. Bringing this vision to the Master’s in Sports and Sports Events Management is a source of great pride for us: it represents the opportunity to bear witness to a concrete path and good work, sharing real-world experiences with those preparing to build the future of this sector.”
