Another year, the third, to enjoy together. Pineto Volley and Mattia Catone will continue their sporting journey together in the 2026/27 season. The blue-and-white setter, a native of Pineto and a symbol of the region on the Adriatic roster, will continue to hold the key to the blue-and-white game after last year’s exceptional Serie A2 Credem Banca season, which culminated in victory in the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa—in which he was named MVP—and the regular season.
Alongside captain Paolo Di Silvestre, Mattia Catone will once again represent Abruzzo and Pineto on the court, strengthening the relationship between the club and its region.
Mattia Catone’s words: “Knowing I’m starting over and wearing the colors of my homeland again is an incredible boost, which makes me even more proactive. Some changes are underway, and this, in my opinion, is an even greater incentive to improve as athletes and as people. The project is excellent and I can’t wait to return to our fortress and see our fans set the arena alight.”
