On Sunday, February 15th, the first day of Group A of the DelMonte® Boy League (Under 14) qualifying round took place at the Palestra Ex Media 4 in Cuneo, where home team MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo faced their peers from Cantù and Piacenza.
The Cuneo team, led by coaches Andrea Marino and Andrea Testa, achieved two excellent victories against Cantù and Piacenza. Thanks to these results, the white-and-blues are provisionally in first place in Group A, taking a decisive step toward qualifying for the Final Eight, ahead of the upcoming away matches. Provisionally in second place is Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, who prevailed in a hard-fought match against Campi Reali Cantù, which closes out the day’s standings.
