Sir Perugia has once again secured one of its players for ErmGroup Altotevere this year: Filippo Giovagnoli, a 193-centimeter-tall, high-side spiker and receiver born in 2007 and fresh out of high school. A true Perugian, Giovagnoli grew up with School Volley, another prominent team in the Umbrian capital, before moving to Ravenna to gain experience in Serie C. Last season, he played in Serie B for Sir, not forgetting the Under 19s and Junior League. Coach Mirko Monaldi sees the possibility of playing him at both the 2nd and 4th positions, which is undoubtedly an added bonus. “I believe I possess the athletic and physical qualities that allow me to best handle this promotion,” Giovagnoli stated, “and I hope to lend a hand to the team both on and off the court, ensuring I’m ready should I be called upon directly.”
