An explosion of joy, hard work, and awareness. Domotek Volley closed out the season in the most beautiful way possible, completing a “triplete” that will go down in the club’s and Italian volleyball history. Enrico Zappoli, spiker and team icon, recounts the emotions of this triumphant ride.

Zappoli doesn’t hide the fatigue of an intense year: “How many emotions? So many. It was difficult, a long season. We still don’t realize it, but it was truly long. Closing out like this was truly, truly beautiful.”

Among the most curious and evocative moments was his face printed on a poster at the entrance to the court before the final. An image that even surprised the player himself: “It made me laugh a little, honestly. We weren’t expecting it. What happened had never happened before. Very, very nice. And then so many, so many people, so many fans, more than seven thousand. Last year we saw a good crowd, maybe against Acqui Termi or Lecce. But in the last match against Belluino, there was something absurd.”
Against a great opponent like Belluno, Domotek prevailed 3-0. A result that not even Zappoli had predicted: “No, in my opinion, no one expected it. It certainly could have gone differently, but we played well. We took a lot of risks in the third set: if they had won, the whole match would have been torn apart again, and it would have been very difficult. Instead, we did our job quite well. I think that, of the three matches we played against, they were definitely the worst, let’s say, but also thanks to us. We were extremely prepared, shot for shot. The key was that we managed to hold everyone back. It was a do-or-die match. There was attention on both sides, and we were the better team.”

Thoughts immediately turn to those close to us. Zappoli’s dedication is heartfelt: “
