An intense, rewarding, and at times incredible season. Volley Tricolore’s journey in the 2025/2026 season has been a months-long journey, filled with growth, challenges, and goals that have brought back enthusiasm and pride in the maroon colors.
It all began in the summer, with a preseason that already revealed the group’s potential. After the previous season’s relegation, the goal was clear: to restart with determination, build a strong identity, and return to prominence. From the first training sessions, a united team emerged, ready to work intensely to build something important.
The regular season confirmed these feelings. Volley Tricolore established itself as one of the league’s most solid teams, maintaining consistent performance and demonstrating both technical and mental quality. Week after week, the team consolidated its position at the top, earning crucial victories and demonstrating great maturity even in the most delicate moments.
At the same time, the Italian Cup campaign also arrived, culminating in the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A3 Final Four at the VHV Arena. It was a prestigious event, approached with determination and quality. After a commanding semifinal, Volley Tricolore reached the final, narrowly missing out on the trophy after a hard-fought tie-break against Domotek Reggio Calabria.
The season’s highlight, however, came with the promotion playoff, once again against Domotek Reggio Calabria. A best-of-five series (three wins), played with home-field advantage in favor of the Granata thanks to their regular-season path. Volley Tricolore capitalized on the PalaBigi by winning games 1 and 3, while the Calabrian team responded by winning games 2 and 4 at home. The series was thus decided in a fiercely contested game 5, played at the PalaBigi in front of a large crowd of fans and enthusiasts. A tense and emotionally charged match, in which the Reggio Emilia team found the energy to assert themselves and secure the decisive victory, thus securing their return to Serie A2.
