Cucine Lube Civitanova is training ahead of their feat in Poland. On Thursday, April 2nd (6 p.m.), the red and whites will visit Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie for the second leg of the CEV Champions League quarterfinals. After a 3-0 defeat at the Eurosuole Forum in the first leg, Giampaolo Medei’s men will need to give their all at the Arena Sosnowiec, the facility used by Michal Winiarski’s team for their European competition commitments. The Italian runners-up will need a perfect match in the home of the continental runners-up. Against such a solid team, which swept the PlusLiga regular season and capitalized on its opportunities in Civitanova, they will need heart, physicality, and clear management. Lube believes in it and is working towards it. The Predators also believe in it, as a group of fans will travel to cheer on the team on the road.

Giampaolo Medei (Coach Cucine Lube Civitanova):

“Thursday’s match will be extremely difficult. We know Zawiercie’s strength. The Polish team demonstrated their quality in Civitanova. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to play to our full potential. The environmental factor in the return match won’t help us, even if we’ll have less pressure. Our rivals will be playing at home, in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd. It will be a unique atmosphere. We know Lube will have to show their strength to turn the tables, but we know we can do it. We won’t lack determination; we’re working hard to give ourselves a chance to come back and reach the Final Four in Turin. We’ll put all our energy into winning 3-0 or 3-1 and thus take the match to the Golden Set. We have the qualities to accomplish such a feat!”
