The Credem Banca SuperLega 5th Place Playoff Semifinals ended in two games, just like the Quarterfinals. Trento and Modena will compete for a spot in the 2026/27 Challenge Cup in a best-of-three match.
The tables were turned, but there were no surprises compared to Game 1. After Itas Trentino’s sweep of the second round against the hosts Vero Volley Monza in Brianza on Saturday, Valsa Group Modena secured a spot in the other semifinal, securing a 3-1 victory away from home in a match that began slowly at the Allianz Milano headquarters. Buchegger’s 23 points (63% attack efficiency, 5 aces, and 3 blocks) were decisive, as were Davyskiba’s 15 blocks and Luca Porro’s 10. The most dangerous players on the Milanese side were Reggers (19 points, 4 aces, and 1 block) and Otsuka (13 points, 1 ace). Modena’s 62% attack efficiency and 11 aces, but the Milanese team also struggled in reception.
