The race to qualify for the 2026/27 Challenge Cup heats up with the opening of the best-of-three semifinals of the Credem Banca 5th Place Playoffs. The penultimate stage of the playoffs for a European spot features a first round of two matches at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026, both live-streamed on VBTV. Valsa Group Modena, fourth in the Regular Season, hosts Allianz Milano, seventh in the first round, at the PalaPanini. The two teams advanced from the Credem Banca SuperLega Playoffs and advanced to the first round of the battle for fifth place. At the BTS Arena, Itas Trentino and Vero Volley Monza, two other teams from the Scudetto Playoff Quarterfinals, meet at the net. The Dolomitic team was directly admitted to the 5th Place Playoff Semifinals as the highest-placed team at the end of the regular season, while the Brianza players, once eliminated from the race for the Italian title, have overcome the first hurdle of 5th place and are now chasing their dream of reaching the Final.
