Rana Verona is pleased to announce the arrival of Leonardo Scanferla, who will wear the Verona jersey next season as libero. A highly reliable player with experience at the highest levels of Italian and international volleyball, Scanferla arrives in Verona to strengthen the team’s defense and bring his talents to the table.

Born in Padua in 1998, standing 184 centimeters tall, Scanferla has built a steady growth path at the top of Italian volleyball over the years. After initial experiences with his home team and a stint in Brescia’s Serie A2, he represented Piacenza from 2019 to 2025, winning the 2023 Italian Cup and establishing himself as a key figure for the Emilian team. Last season, he played for Monza, while with the Italian national team, he reached the pinnacle of his career in 2022, when he triumphed at the World Championship.
