With a resounding 3-0 victory away from home in the opening match of the 21st round of the SuperLega Credem Banca, Sir Susa Scai Perugia secured first place in the Regular Season with one round to spare and secured a spot in the next edition of the CEV Champions League.
In the Rana Verona arena, in what was effectively a remake of the last Del Monte® Coppa Italia semifinal, Giannelli and his teammates won in three sets: Wassim Ben Tara put in a strong performance, scoring 13 points. Lorenzetti also relied on Oleh Plotnytskyi’s 9 points and Kamil Semeniuk’s 8 points. For Verona, Darlan was the top scorer with 17 points; Keita also came close to double figures (9).
