From one big team… to another. After facing league leaders Reggio Emilia, losing without much decency, Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano is already ready to return to the field for the midweek round of the Serie A3 Credem Banca White Group, scheduled for Epiphany, visiting Gabbiano FarmaMed Mantova.
As mentioned, the thirteenth round will again present coach Andrea Berra’s men with a difficult obstacle to overcome. Mantua is the fourth-placed team in the group, the only team capable of keeping pace with the top three, who seemed destined to slip away. Coach Radici’s men, as has become a habit in recent seasons, have proven to be a solid team so far, without any peaks of extreme quality, but with a great deal of consistency in all the fundamentals. The “seagull” hasn’t lost since December 13th, at the hands of San Giustino, and since then their run has been virtually flawless, with three consecutive three-pointers, handed out to Sarroch, Trebaseleghe, and Mirandola, three of Savigliano’s potential rivals in the relegation race. Furthermore, the PalaSguaitzer has proven to be a veritable fortress for FarmaMed so far, having lost only once at home, against San Giustino.
