In the splendid setting of the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, packed with enthusiastic fans and a passionate crowd, the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Final Four opened with a breathtaking match between Itas Trentino and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza. The Dolomites won with a comeback victory over Gas Sales, who failed to capitalize on a two-sets-to-one lead despite Bovolenta scoring 23 points, shooting 62% on offense, and blocking 13-4. Trento’s performances included Faure (24 points, 58%) and, especially, Flavio (10 points, 77%). Trento can also celebrate the return of Daniele Lavia, who came on twice during the match.

Before the match, Massimo Righi, President of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, awarded Gianpaolo Renino, Senior Vice President Del Monte® Europe and Africa, with a ball autographed by the four captains, for the fifteen-year partnership, a collaboration almost unique in the whole of Italian sport in terms of duration.
